EA is not all traditional anymore. If there is a store near you so you can look at what they have, do that. When buying online it is hard to evaluate the quality and color until it's in your house and then you have a potentially expensive return to deal with. The abundance of inexpensive imports has caused everything to be lower quality than it used to be as you can't maximize quality while minimizing price.

I'm sure you'd be very pleased with this line.

If you do a Google Image search of the bed, you'll be able to see all the various retailers selling the Hooker bed and beds that look like the Hooker bed.

Hooker is 100% imported, most their product comes out of China.

Well ,she bought it local today in Raleigh from Klaussner who just happen to have a few pieces.

Not the best quality but not the worst either. I would say on par with say Crate and Barrel or the likes. The finish work is very nice if you like that worn look. Some repetitive marks but the texture is something I found interesting. Although anything with a worn look is usually hiding lower quality materials.

Being a woodworker I am always surprised where we have gotten product wise but for what it costs it should last the 5 to 10 years before she changes it up again anyway.

It is so hard to find quality anything today.

China? Really? Though they were local NC Co but then again what isnt made offshore.
