How long does this sliver last ? I find most times on our deck the sun peeks through for a bout an hour we just adjust the chairs . I think the 2 sail idea could work but really the sliver you show I assume it that strip on the seating which really is not a big deal .

Patricia, the sliver is there from about 11 or 12 to 6 p.m. It starts out on the dining table and ends up on the seating.

A smaller patio umbrella on wheels might help as the sun moves

Adjust the sail attachment so that it does the intended job.
