Sure. Some time with a tape measure will be well spent to understand what holds your house up. You're lookig for the load paths that support the roof and upper stories. The outside walls are almost always part of those paths, but on the interior you're looking for continuous supports that run from the footings up to the structure that supports the roof. The second floor floors and rafters will typically be hung from or rest on top of posts or walls supporting that structure. If there's nothing above or below it's probably not load bearing.

I would call a structure contractor or an engineer to come and look. You need to know absolutely for sure, if it is or isnt.
