Please Help: bathroom tile size and design/color dilemma

Hello,

I'm still making choices about this bathroom. While I'm excited to finally have it completly updated (because I never liked it), I cannot make a decision. Currently I have a wood vanity that comes with black or brush nickel hardware, I'm considering 2 black framed mirrors, brush nickel faucets, and black light fixtures - but am opened to other design suggestions. This morning, I walked around Flor and Decor to try to get inspiration, but left with more questions.

SIZE question: I noticed they have XL and oversized porcelain tile slabs. I need to cover about 150 sq feet of floor. I read bigger tile, less grout, better for maintenace. So, what's the largest size I should do on the floor. I'm thinking penny tile that would coordinate with the floor for the shower floor and subway tile (possibly

style) for the shower wall.

DESIGN question: I like pattern and texture but would prefer that they are accent pieces or areas that can be easily changed. This means, I'm looking at solid color porcelain tile. Orignally I wanted black/white/wood decor but now I'm open to more ideas as I feel that was limiting my tile options. I saw someone posted this tile and I thought a nice warm grey may look nice with the vanity.
