I'm renovating a house in Puerto Rico. I knocked down a wall between the living room and enclosed patio to open up the space. I closed up two windows in the hopes that I could put small sectional at the opening of the two rooms to watch TV. I really want a couch with otomans, or a small sectional to be comfortable
The opening is only 118". I could gain another 7 inches by moving the porch wall... but that seems extreme. There's also a header in the opening. I had an architect make me renderings, which are beautiful but they don't properly show all of the barriers I'm facing. He didn't account for the 2 headers and the bump out in the wall (7 inches) between the porch and living room. Please help me figure out how to get a 'comfy TV area' in this space.
