which series - the professional?

The Fisher & Paykel "Classic" OR36SCI6X1 is $8200 and the least expensive Fisher & Paykel OR36SDI6X1 is $8000. I'd consider the Electrolux ECFI3668AS ($5000; also at build.com) or its near-identical sibling, the Frigidaire PCFI3670AF ($5400).

I have the Classic, purchased for much less in 2022.

I have the 36" Wolf Induction Range and I'm very happy with it. I don't use the large oven much as we are empty nesters now and mostly use the Miele CSO.

Too bad Miele doesn't make a 36" induction range. I have a Miele 24" CSO XXL and the Miele built-in coffee machine in two kitchens and we've been very happy with them.

Get the plumbed/drain version for the CSO. So much easier to do regular rinse and soak cycles when hooked up to the water supply and drain. No manual filling of the water container. I usually do a rinse every time I use the CSO to keep things as clean as possible.

Viking doesn't belong on anyone's appliance list, high or low end.

Miele is coming out with a 36 inch induction in August. I was just in their Chicago showroom and they told me that

Good to know. We're probably building in the next year or so & the Miele CSO is one of my picks. Whether we plumb it will depend on our water source, though. If "city water", we'll probably plumb it; if well water, we probably won't since with well water it's generally recommended to run the water for a minute or two to get fresh water into the pipes.

I wonder if you can connect the non-plumbed version to a drain.
