Lois, definitely WIPs! I’m kind of the opposite. I used to have a couple of quilts and usually a knit or crochet project going at once, but lately I’ve been mostly doing one at a time. I have a leader-ender quilt in progress, but right now nothing new started. I have several planned! I have a wall quilt kit called Civil War Anniversary that has been in progress for several years. I decided I want to do it all by hand, and for some reason I’ve really stalled out on the quilting. I finally got it out last weekend and have been working on it. I really want to try Patchwork of the Crosses but won’t let myself until this other handwork project is done.

My shoulder surgery is July 25. After that there will be no sewing for quite a while.

Your first two sentences used to describe me, tops finished waiting to be fully finished by quilting and binding. But I can’t do that now, I get too frazzled when I see things waiting for me. So I prefer to go from start to finish when I can. When I can, because this morning I quilted a top that was finished before the batik ones, but I was waiting for backing.

I do have my second machine sitting on the kitchen table and a tub of squares beside it. So when the ’potatoes are cooking’ I can sew up a few of those, with no plan in mind.

Nothing is kitted up but there is a pile of printed quilt pictures on the cutting table waiting for me to choose one and go for it.

My next quilt will be one for great grandson. Sterling is in love with construction vehicles of all sorts. I am trying to design something for him. I will post a picture of my fabrics for that and ask for suggestions.

So happy you got those tshirt quilts taken care of. I am sure they turned out great!

I do both! I have five or ten hanging in the closet that need to be sandwiched and quilted. I have too many ideas of quilts to make and stacks of pictures, so I USUALLY pick one and piece the top before cutting another. I have been sorting fabric pieces and cutting them into usable sizes and as I went, I did put some color combos together into ziplock bags to maybe speed the process when I finally get to them!

I promised myself I would finish hand quilting a queen sized quilt I started about 20 years ago (and still love it), but stalled out. Now it's too hot. MAYBE this fall ...

Sterling’s quilt is on hold. I pulled out the fabric I wanted to use, something I had ordered from an Etsy site. Some days I swear I leave my head in bed while the rest of me gets up. I did not order any where near enough fabric.

I did a Google search and came up empty but went back to my Visa statement, found the posting which then led me to the seller. Now, I have probably ordered enough for two quilts.

Good detective work, Theresa. Saving paperwork is always good. Several years ago someone broke one of the very unusual globes for my bathroom light fixture. I of course had the original invoice for the fixture from fifteen years earlier. I looked up the company online, and I couldn't believe it, but they were still making the same fixture. I was able to get a new globe. You can never have too much paper.
