It looks kind of congested where the current storage piece is, not very much room to walk through there and make the turn beside that blue chair or couch.

How big is the space on the left hand side, where the books and building blocks are stacked, on the stairs wall? Have you considered a tall piece there? Six feet tall or so?

Then you could float a small shelf under the mirror. Not sure you have room for any seating.

The walkway looks narrow but it is a standard size and fits everything. A designer helped us with the layout years ago. And the cabinet is very narrow

Could I put a bench here and tall shelf here? Maybe the mirror becomes full length or leaves completely... it is a nice last look mirror right by the front entrance

I like that idea. It moves all the furniture away from where you have to turn right.

@littlebug what do you think happens to the mirror?

Can you take pics of that entire area, especially where you have the books.
