I thought I had the location of my soon-to-be relocated vegetable garden planned out. Until I realized it's going to be in my line of sight from the house and let's face it, big fenced-off areas aren't very attractive. So now I'm debating whether to house it all on the east side of the barn. I won't be able to see it from the house but will still have access to water pump within a reasonable distance, and of course the barn is right there with all the tools. This area would get full sun from sun-up until late afternoon/early evening when the barn would cast deep shadows on it. Wondering if this is a viable idea or whether I should continue on planning for a southern exposure with full sun from sun-up to sun-down. Anyone have any experience growing vegetables on the eastern side of a building you can share?
