No. Color does not blend with the granite nor does the scale. Panel the island and paint it a color if you want a change.

No, sorry. Not even close. Too busy, not the right color. Agree with Hallett. Panel & paint if you want to do something. And then, only paint a color in your granite or match your cabinets.

I'd actually save up money and get a new island top. maybe a solid black or gray.

Do one of the ideas Beth posted. I added moulding to the back of my island. It is definitely a good “finishing touch”. Make sure it works with your overall kitchen design. My doors are shaker, so we mimicked it on the back of the island.

You have a lot going on in the space, so I would not add anything to your island.

Why are you wanting to add interest to the island? What about it or the rest of the kitchen isn't satisfying you?

Tiles will definitely be too busy. This is not busy. It’s the outside of the island, facing the living area.
