Do you use coupon codes online?

Today i saw a dress on Tuckernuck and wanted to use the ten percent off deal if you sign up for emails. I closed the TN app, hoping the offer would pop up again but instead i stumbled onto coupons dot com and there was a 20 percent off coupon for TN. No harm in trying, i thought, Voila! It worked and i saved $30.

I never looked for those promo codes before. Late to the party, as usual. Have you all been using them all along and not telling me??

I am terrible for not using coupons, or watching for things on sale for every day items.

I am not a shopper at all and just pay whatever they’re asking if I need the item.

I admire those (like Nicole) who seem to get deals on things.

Yep. I always check Retail Me Not and have been pleasantly surprised when the codes work, which is about 50% of the time.

The last couple of times I tried, I need instructions how to do it somehow... It's for the new bed bath & beyond, online store. It'll be a great discount, and then it won't ever work in the basket. Sigh.

I would use coupons online if I could. I will try, try again.

All the time! I usually do a search for them before I order.

This is great to know. I just ordered a sheet from LL Bean and saved $6.

Yep. I just ordered from Holland Bulbs(I would NOT recommend them)...used the free shipping code. JCP sends me 35% off coupons that will sometimes be a better deal than the cash off offers. Amazon often has codes listed just under the product price too.

I agree. Retail Me Not has the best code selection.

I live so remotely, am not well and don't have many shopping options nearby and don'tdrive much anymore. I buy most/all of my clothes and shoes online. I also have found the best coupon codes on Retail Me Not.

Yes I do try them...they don't always work, or sometimes the deal is worse than the one the catalog offers, but it can't hurt to try. And it's a wahoo! when they work.

I’m going to look at Retail Me. I use Rakuten which gives money back for certain stores. i opt for a quarterly check.

i alway wait for a sale. Stores I regularly shop in give me rewards points which amount to money off.

    Thanks for the coupon tip.

I do for sure. I also have honey which sometimes obnoxiously pops up and looks for the best price and other promos as well as other stores that carry it.

Usually I've already found the best deal, or there is no deal but it's so worth trying it. It's so great when you were going to buy the item anyway, and then you get to save $$.

I don't go to retail-me-not or search for coupon codes unless I REALLY need one. More often than not, I find they are expired and it isnt worth the time to me.

However, I DO use browser plugs in Rakuten and Microsoft that will scan for valid coupon codes and try them on the site. This is much more time effective IME. I also get a lot of coupon codes via email... some that aren't available to the other services (like those for subscribers only).

I have stopped signing up for discounts by providing my email and cell contacts unless it is going to save me significant $$ or it is a favorite store. I get wayyyyyyy too many marketing emails and texts.

I generally use the coupon codes I receive in emails from retailers. I also have Swagbucks - another browser plug-in which will pop up on retail sites and check for coupons, along with crediting users for purchases and searches - otherwise, I comparison shop.

Back in the day, I was one of those people who clipped coupons and had a little file of them I carried with me when shopping 😁

I'll sign up occasionally for the discount, and then unsubscribe as soon as I get the item. And only email, never texts. That would drive me crazy.

I cannot fathom ordering anything w/o looking for a promo code. They used to be much more prevalent than they are now. Coupons used to be available all the time for 'free' i.e. no email necessary. Those were the days! Most of the time unless it's a big order I would not give my email for $5 but I do have a gmail for just such occasions. Once you use the coupon if you get more junk mail than you can stand you can unsubscribe. You can also look before you shop in brick and mortar stores so you have it on your phone at the ready.

I always look for coupons especially for stores that don't offer free shipping, I know I'm paying for shipping one way or another, but it rankles me when I get charged for it. I can almost always find a free shipping code.

What rankles me even more ar the pop-ups that offer you a discount for email sign up but once you put in your email address and send it, you get another pop-up that requires your mobile # in order to actually get the discount code. I never, ever give my cell number, so I back out and often will leave the stuff in the cart and shop elsewhere. Some stores will send the discount code even if you don't add your cell #. But once they have their hands on your email address, the marketing emails pour in. I always unsubscribe. This recently happened with Anthropologie and I tried to unsubscribe. It wouldn't let me and told me I had to contact customer service. Ugh. I tried a different browser but the unsubcribe button didn't work there either. So I chatted with customer service and it took me about 15 minutes for them to get off their list, including the catalog list. We'll see if it actually works.

I always look for promo codes before purchasing and it needs to be on sale and have free shipping :-)

I get lots of promo codes through PetsMart, and then I often get coupons I can add to CVS for either in person or online shopping. CVS coupons can't be used on prescriptions though.

Belk sends promo codes by email too.

I have the American Airlines CITI credit card and then use the shopping portal. Sometimes places like PetsMart can have 10 miles per dollar! So, buying a lot of cat food and litter can add up to $100 and then I get 1,000 bonus miles.

well, where have i been? Sheesh.

If it's a big purchase, I'll check for codes online. Otherwise, I usually don't bother. (But I absolutely get sucked into online sales via email or FB)
