Where are you? Please remove the shutters they do not belong on those windows. You need a bigger post fot the porch ideally square . Downspouts are usually placed where they are for a reason so make sure you get a pro to remove or move those . Usually the best is to paint them to blend with the wall behind .You downspaouts look like they empty right close to the house which is the opposite of what you want . For what to plant we need info as to your planting zone . which way the house faces and aslo what kind of gardener are you ? Give us all of that info in a comment here DO N OT start another post.

I agree with the above but the house is very pretty and just needs some pretty flowers in the dirt areas.

A focal point in the recessed area to the right, like a private garden with a small tree and groundcover plants and stone. A water feature would be beautiful and the sound would be very nice in the semi-enclosed space.

A cladded post, a railing for the porch, and a handrail for the steps on the right side.

A nice paint color for the front door.

Paint the recessed portion of the ceiling a very pale blue/gray, where the light is.

Powerwash the house before you tacklet landscaping.

Below is a mix of plantings with reddish brown mulch in front of a house with the palette of yours. Have a garden center help you choose shrubs and perennials for the small bed on the right so that you have plantings to look at all year around from the inside and that greet visitors when they walk up to the house.

I made a sketch of my concept of more rock and a small tree. The door is Eggplant and the ceiling is blue/gray.

If you have no outlet for a water pump then a birdbath. A tall one would be seen better.

The porch is quite small, and the flower pot encroaches on what little floor space there is. It also looks as though the door opens from the left. If that is correct, entry into the house must be very cramped. Two thoughts. Why not move the flower pot to the bottom of the stairs. Consider extending the porch to the right so it is below the double window. You could use decking material as I would assume extending the brick would be expensive. Good luck.
