should I mix match new dishes ?

I have had Polish pottery dishes 15-20 years and time to update. Although they don’t break or get metal scratches they are just too heavy. I fell in love with Fortessa Havana gray. It’s a current color with just a light pattern that is different! Problem is they make only dinner, salad & bread plates with no other pieces. They make 3 other colors to mix match of those pieces: deep blue & a spice or clay & a yellow. I’m
torn about adding mugs, cereal & pasta to the gray plates as a lot of what I have seen doesnt quite work. The pictured mugs are each from different Fortessa collections and are in the color group but don’t look quite right. Too cool or too ? Maybe just choose a solid for all other pieces like charcoal or plain white even if the whites are different ?
I really love that dinner plate!!
I was ultimately wanting new dishes that I can mix match a little with.
Or just buy an already coordinated mixed set? I wanted to be original.

bowls . The Havana white is a warm white- not bright. Does it matter so much to have all matching? Right now I use various collected coffee mugs & white dollar store cereal bowls with my Polish but there is no cohesiveness.
