I cannot find any information about its origin, but it doesn’t look like a D. superbus hybrid to me. The mounded form, low height and non-fringed flowers are all the opposite of superbus. The only thing that might be similar is the fragrance, but that is found in many other dianthus. It does look like an interesting plant, especially if the fragrance is as strong as promised.
