Light socket extenders allow you to aim a spotlight at artwork on the wall. Scew it into the ceiling can light. Very nice for ambient lighting, esp. on a dimmer to wash the walls with light.

The light from the corner looks harsh...I can't see the fixture there but you need lamps with with lampshades.....good for ambient light or reading light. Try not to use the fan light.

Here's the other walls. I'm not thinking any art work and the walls are textured so wallpaper would be tough too. We never use the over head fan light. My husband was thinking something with attached lights on the walls or something with plants. I'm stumped.

TV walls make good painted accent walls.... makes the TV less stark looking. Then any simple decor always looks good against the wall too.

Since you want light, Neon art maybe? Plant art?
