Something feels off with the top half

Maybe it's the windows, it's like they stopped trying to finish the build out look

Maybe adding matching crown moulding to the window area and window treatment

I'd also paint the wall amd cabinets the same color to make it all look more integrated

Remove the top sections and just leave the floor cabinets.

Agree remove the top and sides column of cupboards. It's too large for that wall no matter what color it is. What is the cabinetry/trim out of the rest of the home. Given it's a built in in an average home it ought to match whatever the kitchen cabinets are. In a perfect world the bottom would be centered between the windows. Not encroach their trim but even if you were able to cleanly remove the drawer portion it would look too long for the space given where the windows would line up. Most bang for your buck would be remove the top and call it good.

Agree with removing all top stuff. Floor cabinets only.

Remove the top part then you can paint to match the walls or a color depending on the rest of your decor . I would keep the bottom for a good base for almost any size TV and the storage is always great . I have for sure seen a lot worse.

I would also remove all the top cabinets, specially if you can do without that storage space.

Then add a wall hung Samsung Frame TV to the space. This one is 75".

Yep, my first thought was remove the upper cabinetry. It looks like it is holding the windows hostage. Hang a wall TV just as in Beverly's mock ups.

Depending on what else is in the room, consider painting the wall and lower cabinets the same color. It will give it a much more build-in look.

The cup pulls give a kitchen-ish vibe. Change out the hardware for a nice refresh.
