My new kitchen!

last modified: 2 years ago

I bought my beautiful, old (1870) home 3 years ago and knew right away that I would remodel the kitchen as soon as I could afford it.

I am beyond thrilled with the end result! I probably have four times the storage I had previously. My cabinet maker (MN Woodcraft LLC) is a genius. He made the most beautiful cabinets and was so helpful in the design process. I also have a dishwasher now (Yay!)

I still need to have my backsplash installed. It will be white Bedrosian subway tile that will go to the ceiling on both sides.

It’s been finished for a couple of months and I still smile every time I look at it

@chispa, my plan is to refinish and clear coat the original floors at some point. They need it badly!

Night and day difference. Love the green cabinet color. Is that a vintage piece on the end wall?

WOW! What an incredible transformation. I love the colour of your new cabinets, just beautiful. I also love the way you have opened up the kitchen and dining room space, while seemlessly extending the the cabinet design. This was so very clever! What a wonderful design. Admiring from Australia :-)

Love the nod to the old with the vintage wall unit and how it ties in with the wood on the hood. Awesome choice. Glad you love your new space.

@ci_lantro, yes that is a vintage piece that came with the house when I bought it. I think it helps to balance all the new I added while also bringing more warmth to the space.

    Thank you!

Really looks great! I love the sink - looks nice with the color of the wood accents.

Which solid white countertop did you select?

@dani_m08, my countertop isn’t solid white. It’s Cambria Smithfield in a matte finish. It has very subtle, light grey veining.
