Sterling’s quilt fabric

last modified: 2 years ago

I think I have mentioned how this boy loves all construction vehicles. So my plan has always been to make him an appropriate quilt.

I found the grey light weight flannel on Joann’s and then a Google search located the white on an Etsy site in the Ukraine. The package came quickly and the fabric is lovely silky smooth.

My original idea was to make individual blocks of each vehicle mixed in with either nine patches or pinwheels of the gold and black.

Back to the drawing board. It was very hard to get a good consistent size and large enough to feature the truck, so on to plan B.

I remembered the quilt I did for his sister which has a centre panel, and figure I can use parts of that pattern and add other blocks to finish it up. I do think it will work

Anxious to start but first I have to make sure my calculations are correct, and then check them again and again.

Wish me luck!

I found these Fisher Price trucks, like new, on Facebook Marketplace. I am his favourite Nanny, but then I am his only Great Nanny

I can start with the panel and then add nine patches or other blocks. Any ideas??

I might even have enough for a pillow case or two.
