I like the storm door to be the same as the interior door. That way you don't see the frame.

IIMHO, if youre combining real wood with the metal of a storm door, its ok if its different - a dark wood tone blends nicely with dark brown. Its a nice grain but if the wood is old and in need of finishing just redo it more in a darker brown tone. The part that I might paint is that narrow yellow strip around the storm door- whats that all about? Maybe paint the same brown as the storm door, and just leave the wood as is?

I suggest you paint the door the same colour as your new storm door, replace the sconce with a larger black one (should be 1/4 to 1/3 the height of the door), install large black street numbers, paint your vintage chair black, buy a new mat.
