Sometimes we can't have everything. I like a table on the patio and this is the one I bought. I could put a roof over the patio, but that would block the natural daylight from my living room. The living room has a 10' double sliding glass door leading to the patio and that is the only exterior wall. So I can't cover it with a roof.

It needs some TLC and I want to keep it from getting worse,, but I am okay with a bit of character.

Epoxy will only yellow, badly. Then peel like a bad sunburn. It is not at all UV resistant. A freeze thaw cycle and any moisture will continue to degrade it. Unbreathable covers tend to hold in moisture, as much as they keep it out. You need something like a Tyvek cover, It will keep out liquid moisture, but allow water vapor to pass.
