Sump pump room was originally missing + some of the plumbing coming through the floor in the unfinished room.

Also yes, the office, rec room, pantry, mechanical, unfinished / gym, and sump pump room would all have doors.

There is nothing stopping that room from being finished, but figured I could use it for a gym and storage, but I am open to any ideas.

That's a very skinny (and dark?) space for a gym. What equipment do you plan to put in there?

It will be well lit, but a treadmill, bench with a set of adjustable dumbbells and a yoga matt. nothing crazy. Maybe "Gym" is an over exaggeration :D

This is the schematic from which our basement was planned. We used masking tape to position walls to envision the space, also marked spots for cannister lights with tape as well. it was finished faithful to the plan though bathroom never added, rather became an office/craft room
