I don't think the emitter is either positioned properly, giving adequate amount of water, or it is broken at the site.

I too would wonder about watering by hand to make sure it is adequate. I might give a teaspoon of Osmocote Plus and water over those pellets. You could tip the pot over and look at the roots too.

Does the pot feel hot during the day? Even in shade the roots could be heating up and the potting mix drying out much faster than you think, especially if the water from the emitter is not penetrating to the roots. If you can lift it, try plunging the pot in a bucket of water overnight then letting it drain out the next morning, to thoroughly wet down the potting soil. Then perhaps some liquid feed for an instant boost?

Seems as if the consensus is, try more water. I’ll dunk it in a tub as Nollie suggests. Also, thanks Sheila, I’ll check its bottom end and see if it needs transplanting.
