Looking for a an upper deck from a patio doors off the kitchen walk out type deck there are upper windows along the top not for sure to have the upper deck the whole length along the window line . Or steps leading down to The lower part of the house there is a patio door from the basement how to incorporate that into to the upper deck steps leading down to it ?

Get your budget set and decide how big you want the upper deck. Will you want a dining set up there? Will you do a lower deck too, or pour a concrete patio, or something else?

I would get a reputable deck builder in for a consult. Don't be surprised when you get a quote 50-60K for the while thing. They should be able to tell what is doable. You may be able to attach a ledger board to the house and yo may need to go completely free standing we cannot tell from the picture alone.

Thank you guys for all your comments. Yes we need to figure out a budget and plan accordingly to really get what outdoor space will meet our needs .

I would probably look at a 16' x 12' deck off the upper sliding door and much larger patio/deck at ground level. Steps on the left side (end of the house if you really need them). But yes determine your wants and needs and see how this all fits in with your budget.
