Miele - Freestanding Refrigerator - Top Ventilation

I'm considering a small Miele freestanding fridge (KFN 4776 ED).

I understand the need for side gaps, rear gap against the wall, but they also mention the top ventilation gaps and space for air to vent out to the ceiling.

In their instructions, they mention:

A ventilation duct of at least 2" (50 mm) depth must be provided across the whole width of the upper cabinet.

The ventilation gap under the ceiling must be at least 46 sq inch (300 sq cm) to ensure that warm air can escape without obstruction.

How would I properly calculate the air gap required at the top (the minimum of 46 1/2 sq inches). If the cabinet is 30 inches wide, a 2" gap to the ceiling would be 2 x 30 = 60 Square Inches. Is my assumption correct, or am I misunderstanding this.
