I like gutters to match the soffit/fascia and the downspouts to match the color of the house. For most homes gutters/downspouts are utilitarian and should not be highlighted.

We are still not sure about a color for the roof.

Medium Grays are usually the most versatile color for a roof (although charcoal and black are mentioned on the board a lot). I would not do black trim you do not have a farmhouse style home.

So with the brown shingles on the roof, any suggestions on a color for the window trim? We want to pint the front door possibly a lavender color. Should I paint the garage white? Or possibly that faux wood look on garage?

White garage probably. Why a brown roof, I thought that wasn't chosen yet.

That’s just the color it currently is.

Consider choosing the roof now, at least a couple options that will be finalized later. Will help answer some of these questions you have now about all the other related stuff.

Greens or blues could work. Lavendar will not work with the brown roof.

So we still need to paint the door, the peak, and garage door.

We don’t mind the trim color. Never been a neutral person but figure we could use a bold color on the door.
Were thinking about the faux wood for the garage door.
Would the house look better with the gutters painted? And what color? What color should the peak be then?

I would paint the gutters and garage door same as house white. The idea of faux wood for garage door would look off since there's no other wood accents going on to compliment it.
