What do you mean by "normal"?

How do we know what size your room is or where the bed is? How much room you have next to the bed? Where the entry to the room is, where is a closet or a bath?

The question is mystery meat, as you have no pictures, no drawing of your space, no clue do we have as to what furniture you are looking at buying.

As to "Normal" ? Yes....the sizes are commonplace, assuming they fit in YOUR space and are appropriate in look, style etc

I doubt you are going to find anyone who can answer this without pictures. Most of size is proportional to your other furniture and space, meaning pictures would have to show the proposed furniture in relation to your space. If you don't want to post a picture, browse furniture catalogues. They'll have beds and nightstands of similar sizes.

If the top of your mattress is only 17" off the ground when it is installed on the frame, then 27" high night stands will look odd. You may want to check your mattress height measurement.

POst pics of the things you are asking about andpics of your space . There is no such thing as normal furniture . My platform bed is 18" and my night tables 23" and I donot think I would want them higher so maybe that might help. I also am not keen on matching pieces and if you have a walk in clset I do not usaully like dressers in my bedroom Info is needed for us to help you

Read your own post, pretend it came from a neighbor, someone whose home you have not seen inside, a bedroom you have not seen, and her furniture in question? You haven't seen that either.

What is your answer to the neighbor? Does it fit

within her room, does it suit her room and its style??

Click on some you like, and scroll to the dimensions. How many match dimensions you noted/ asked ? You are going to lose count, that I assure you. Because, yes, they are "normal" : ) and commonplace.,,,,,,,,but may NOT suit your space, your bed, or your room.

The dresser is an easy decision, based on wall and the available space, will 68W work, or be butted up against an entrance, closet or window? If you want help in this regard a diagram/measurements of the room (including structural components) will be useful.

Even if you have room for 28W x2 nightstands, will headboard’s style and proportions work. The BIGGEST negative is the mattress height difference of 10” and that’s what would make me not purchase.

"Normal" size will depend on the size of the bedroom, height of the bed, space available on either side of the bed, how much stuff you want to put on the top and store inside, etc.
