It's easier if you have a jumping off point, an inspiration piece that includes dark blue and then you "pull" that blue for the paint color..

You want to look for blues like these. These are my favorite dark blues for a range of applications.

Yes - this is the living room (which is all one room separated by a partial wall) and the kitchen in totality before the countertops were renovated today

with the yellow walls [do they remain ? ] you move into more a vibrant med to dark teal shade of blue. the very dark shades you're trying are simply getting lost and not playing well w the strong wall color and orangeish floor.. You want to stand up and play with yellow walls and fairly intense look to the floor. With the new white counters it'll be fine.....move away from the dark muddy shades somewhat.

this first one is correct for what you have w floors/ wall color /and a good dose of white now.

The yellow walls are staying. The stools / chairs are Serena and Lily if that helps pull through a color from those chairs

the darker splash of blue green in the picture on your wall. go there w your color. you can choose intensity of course ...medium to darker.

Your stools are neutral so any colour would coordinate. But I agree with herbflavor that the yellow isn't the best choice for the room but you say you're not changing that.
