I have never considered beige a neutral only boring. I love this color cut 25-50% for a true neutral it works like nature with wood, other colors my go to for clinets who have to choose wall color in anew build before any other choices are made . Those clients almost always keep that wall color This is BM BTW different than SW same name. If you go 50% it is just a hint of color and looks awesome always with white trim

Before you choose a new paint color I suggest you add more lighting. Recessed lights over your countertops and over your bar area. Removing the ceiling fan and add a chandelier. This will brighten up your space and make it easier to choose a paint color.

Since your lighting varies so much, I would suggest getting a sample and painting a piece of poster board so you can hang it in different areas to see how the color will change throughout the day and night.

just a +1 to Kendrah's suggestion - less busy will be better and help the space/walls not seem chopped up

Our cabinets are antique white. Like the idea of painting above and below the chairrail the same color! also chandeler instead of fan is great idea also!

Definately add more lighting to brighten space.

Definitely you need more lighting. We had extra LED 3” lights installed in our kitchen ceiling. We also had below-cabinet lighting installed. Remove the valance over the sink because it blocks light and isn’t needed with the blinds. I painted several different large pieces of poster board with colors we were considering. As natural light moves through your space during different times of the day and evening and the overhead and under counter lighting is turned off and on, you will see how the color changes. White on one side of the room will look different than the same white on the opposite and perpendicular walls. It’s better you know this before hand so you are not surprised. We have a blue center island and I knew how color changes depending on the side of the room, but my husband was disappointed in the color I had chosen. As we walked around the newly installed island, he expressed his surprise at the difference the same color on each of the for sides looked!

The current paint color is perfect for the space. Add some additional black touches to carry out the color scheme created with the cabinets and counters and your room is complete. It's really perfect. I would not paint.

I would install lighting under the cabinets to illuminate the countertops. I'd eliminate that ceiling fan in the room. The quality of light from ceiling fans is never acceptable.

You might want to consider extending the cabinets and counter on the wall opposite the sink.

I would install track lighting the length of the kitchen to get the illumination where it needs to go.

Love the extended cabinet above - could be a charming spot for a lamp (they can be a nice way to light the space at night after dinner clean-up is done)
