I see black flooring under those samples & I think I like something in that color family the best. It looks intentional as far as different color flooring & seems the best color for the cool white of counter & cabinets - provides some contrast & highlights the veining in counter. The samples look dull for an all white kitchen, #3 pattern is too busy but at least pulls a color of white from counter. None of the 3 are great against the wood floor that’s staying & the tones of those 2 floors do need to play well.

ETA - lighting is important & I’m commenting based on colors I see on my screen. What color lighting is actually in your kitchen? Is it yellow / warm or daylight which shows true colors better?

So the existing flooring is gray/blue tile and it has to go. We are moving cabinets/appliances and we don’t have any extra to replace where we need. It’s also very old and chipping so unfortunately it can’t stay.

We are going for a more warm white rather than cool white kitchen. Which is why I’m trying to pull some brown tones in the flooring without the ability of using actual wood. The cabinets and countertops have some warmth to them. I agree none are amazing but I’ve search high and low for something that could go well for about 7/10 years when we replace everything including the existing hardwood. The lighting gets good daylight and we will be installing recessed lighting. No yellow lightening

I understand how challenging choosing colors for finishes can be. We replaced counters & BS a few years ago & a few months ago had to replace flooring in most of our open plan house - winter leak issue. Though we were on a time crunch with remediation crew, we took the time to order a full box of the flooring we thought we wanted. We’d already used the online visualizers which were minimally helpful since uploaded pics with the downloaded flooring really aren’t helpful when seeing on a computer screen. The box of flooring was 12 planks - enough to spread out & get a real feel for what the pattern looks like on a larger scale. That’s what I strongly urge you to do. At worst you have a box of flooring you’ll never use, at best you have a box of flooring to use for future repairs. But, the best thing is that you get a realistic view of the flooring you’ll be looking at every single day! Those 2x2 samples just do not look the same as a larger spread of the flooring will look. Of the 3 you show, I’m leaning to #3 because it doesn’t look like it’s trying to be wood look - so it’s better next to the real wood - and, because it looks like it might have some white tone in it to tie it to the counters & hopefully the cabinets. You don’t say what you’re doing for BS but do consider that pattern in your overall look. A too busy BS might really clutter up the final look.

Buying a box to get a better look is a great idea! I think we may do that if I can’t come up with anything else.

I’m open to other suggestions on flooring. Tile is way out of our budget right now. I’d love hardwood but we are not in a position right now to replace the dining/living room existing floor

Sarah, I strongly urge you to invest in a pre-decision box no matter what you think your final decision is. We hadn’t thought of doing that until it was suggested to us. We actually ordered a box of 2 different flooring choices & oh boy are we ever grateful that we did. The one we thought we liked best was truly awful with all the repeats in the pattern. That’s the part you just cannot see on the small bit of sample you get to bring home to your house. It’s so helpful in seeing the true color, the pattern repeats & how the light in your house affects the look. Flooring is such a big decision & not one to be made under pressure or in haste!!
