How can we possibly offer suggestions when you have not posted pictures of the space!

you are right! I the workers are using it ( as they do the rest of the house) so its filthy , dusty, sandy and hard to see the colors. I will brace myself and try to clean a few spots so you can see the colors But really its bare but for white tiled walls, dark grey tile white toilet white tub

We need to see the size of the room, how many windows and doors, existing lighting, style of current fixtures like sunken tub, clawfoot tub, separate shower, walk-in shower, pedestal sink, cabinet sink, storage or linen closet, etc etc. Lots and lots of variables in a bathroom.

Hey Kendrah you are so so helpful The bath is standard nothing special, No curtain yet ( no nothing just white standard toilet and tub grey floor white tiled walls) We r keeping the simple reg bathtub shower and toilet to save money

Without seeing your bath, I would say that natural wood and natural fibers plus plants would give a calming Zen or Spa feel to a gray/white bath and make it pop design-wise.

You paint the walls the color of your choice. You add art, towels. You make sure the lighting is good.

We can't help without more information, and you just consider the dark floor a neutral, OR you bite the bullet, and change the tile on the floor. What is the vanity if there shall be a vanity, what is the counter top? You only have two baths in the apartment, there seems to be no counter space to speak of in this bath?

The lighting, despite workers seems inadequate as well.

As with your other threads on this apartment? Size, where the plumbing is, a drawing in feet and inches how it will FUNCTION comes before "you love "gold". The existing fixtures are chrome............and that is a forever finish in a bath and is easy to maintain. Are you changing any?

You've bitten a lot of "chew" in a very short amount of time to get a livable space for a family: ) and the first again in a small bath is use/function. Feet and inches, and what is possible

its the main bathroom. They previous owners put in a floor about 5-6 yrs ago and it is where we r going to save money and not redo right now. So its a medium grey ( thought it was darker but I think that its lighter after cleaning::)) tile on the floor and bright whtie tiled walls. It will service 3 older kids.

and I need to pick a vanity to put in

it has room for 55 inch vanity.

So I am open to color ideas and where to put laundry

since its a smaller bathroom should I do a medicine cabinet or does that take up so much visual space it is not worth it?

any ideas using this flooring and white tiled walls for colors that are not going to close in the space?

Someone told me this combo of black drawers, black faucets, with thin panel of wood around the cabinets would look nice, not to heavy and timeless? The pic below is the ideas of combining wood trim in the color wood I like ( she gave me a few different options lighter oak and more red or darker oak) The thing is if I did black cabinets I can't put black handles on it if I am using a black faucet and black shower head cuz we we won't see it. I would have to do intergrated pull which is a shame cuz I love handles (jewlery for cabinets!!)

I will stay on this thread and not open a new one ( see jan I am learning!!) I also have a small bathroom (pure functional fits just a toilet) we are going to put a small sink outside We have a niche for is about 20 inches. We were told to put in a back slpash to protect the walls ( learning so much cuz I would have not done anything in that small corner just regular paint of the walls) I have no idea what to put there. Pretty small corner pretty dark hallway so I was thinking keep small vanity cabinet white but maybe have some fun with the backsplash? Wall paper? tiles? Mosaics?

Now my dh is thinking shame we aren't redoing this while the rest of the house looks fresh and new (EXHALE SLOWLY) so we may redo the whole thing. What to look out for? I am not going to take this designer to do it so I am relying on you to help me. Stay with the old and just put in a fresh vanity ( what colors ppl I still don't know) or do it all now? Or wait move in and then do it?
