Sorry the things didn't turn the way you wanted, but I think the kitchen cabinets look lovely. Is the floor finished yet?

Thank you, i appreciate that and I have made peace with it. Even think maybe that the lighter oak would have been too light! Trying to embrace the “natural” aspects of the wood variations but also know that the biggest reason was the cabinet makers experience. The floors are finished, just covered by a layer of dust here!

I think the darker cabinets look good with the floor. The lighter ones might looked washed out.

The darker is much better than what you wanted. That washed out bleached out no color look is on the wane, just as it died in the 80's. People are discovering jewel tones and deep wood tones again. 90's Revival is starting strong.

I agree, the lighter stain would have matched your floors way too much. Consider this a happy accident. Looks great!

The cabinets look nice, but I understand the disappointment of not getting what you ordered.

I have done two kitchens with two different cabinet makers, and in both cases we picked a color/stain and they made a sample door in the style and color/stain I wanted. They made one door for themselves and one for me. When I approved the style and color/stain I signed the back of both doors. For both kitchens my final cabinet color/stain looked exactly like my sample doors.

Sample door in BM Chantilly Lace for second house. The scale of the top drawer was off so we discussed it and got that correction in writing. These were mine to keep.

The cabinet maker did an incredible job matching up the wood grain!! Look at those drawers! And those tall panels!

The darker stain is much better than the lighter one. Cabinet maker saved you from yourself, IMO.

Yep...agree with all of the above. The kitchen cabinet color looks GREAT!

It worked out- to me the lighter one looks like unfinished plywood and I am not liking the yellowing that I see.

Sometimes there are lucky missteps and IMO you got much better than the plan
