It looks like any furniture on that entry wall will surely make access to the nice coat closet challenging & maybe even the front door opening if the piece is centered on the wall as it should be. Your entry looks bright during the day from window in door. Battery operated lights would be pretty useless for evening lighting IMO. I’d look for a floor lamp that could be placed where the baby seat is - there must be an outlet along that wall & likely the sofa there would benefit from the light. For the entry space I’d add one large piece of art & a pretty entry rug that’s at least as wide as the front door. I don’t see any art in the living space to know your tastes. A dramatic image that has depth from a distance would be great - for expample, forest or garden scene. A mirror would be ok but think about what it would reflect - anything worth seeing? Mirrors are nice in entries for a last check of face etc before leaving house so if you really want a mirror, I’d get a pretty framed mirror & a large one - no table. The rug may need to be a flatter type - not a thick rug - so both entry & closet door open over it without dragging.
