Need Help Analyzing Our Floor Plan – Entrance, Kitchen Island, and Layout Tweaks

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for some advice on our floor plan (picture attached – includes basement, main floor, and upstairs). We love our house but feel like it could use some tweaks to make it perfect for how we live.

We mainly use the garage entrance (about 95% of the time), which leads right into the kitchen and the spare bedroom we use as an office. We’re hoping to add a kitchen island, but the space feels too narrow with the half bath taking up a chunk of the area.

One idea we’ve had is moving the half bath to where the laundry is currently, and relocating the laundry upstairs to free up more space for the kitchen. We think this might give us the layout flow we need, but we’d love input on whether this could work or if there are other ways to improve the design.

Any suggestions or feedback on how to optimize the layout, especially around the garage entrance and kitchen area, would be super appreciated!
