Floor for kitchen navy cabinets with Carrera honed counters

I am starting a kitchen reno.
I bought a showroom sample of fabuwood galaxy indigo cabinets which I am doing with honed marble ( carerra) counters n backslash.
My hardware is brushed gold/ brass with gold pendants over peninsula.
I have to choose a floor,
I am torn between brushed black limestone or doing the honed carerra on the floor to match counters. The wall colors will be grey.

I think marble floors only work in very specific circumstances. One of those circumstances is not the average suburban home. You don't want your kitchen to look like a bathroom. I like the gray tile, I have something similar in my primary bath, but think about the overall effect of blue and gray. It would be easy for that to look dark and cold. How much light do you have in your kitchen? Is it coming from the south? If so, cool colors might be great. If the light is coming from the east or north a lot of people would find that to be cold. Are you planning on all blue cabinets, or just on the island or base cabinets?

Wood floors are an easy way to warm things up, regardless of the quality of light. If there are wood floors in the rooms adjacent to the kitchen, think about duplicating them. Even if you're not used to wood floors in your kitchen, they have become very common over the past 20-30 years. Consistent flooring throughout is a nice, cohesive look.

Definitely not marble floors. Simultaneously sterile/bathroom looking and impossible to keep clean. I really like the limestone, but I would hesitate overdoing brushed brass/gold accents. You have a very classic combination of natural materials and those finishes are a bit off to me. If you want brass, I'd do polished unlacquered for the patina, but if I were you I'd likely do polished nickel, maybe with a natural brass tap and lighting (metals don't need to/shouldn't match).

IMO STOP right now . Marble counters are always hard yo keep loking awesome ans never honed since then you just multiply the issues and for sure never honed marble floors for the same reason. IMO a nice wood floor should be the choice and hopefully that is what you have in the rest of the house . BTW IMO the whole gold thing will soon scream dated a touch of it maybe but too much actually make sit look cheap.I never understand the reason for bridge type faucets they went the way of the dodo for a reason they are awkward to use .

House is a 1948 cape all hardwood except kitchen, there is no open floor plan I get western sun in afternoon n have alot of light. The hardware I am doing will be unlacquered brass to give patina. The adjacent room is color drenched in bm hale navy. The kitchen now is color drenched in bm smoke. (Grey) the pendants will be white simple ball that was incorrect photo n I didn't know how to delete it.

I hope you have solar shades on all those windows or that floor will be totalled . Do the wood in the kitchen regardless of open concept or not.

We replaced our sheet vinyl with some beautiful limestone colored porcelain tiles. I will not be putting porcelain tile in our next kitchen. Things don't just break when they hit the floor, it's like a bomb exploded. When the pickle relish jar slipped from my hand standing near the sink I was sweeping shards from the dining room at the other end of my long galley kitchen and the breakfast nook at the opposite end. I have antifatigue mats in front of fridge, stove and sink more for dropping things than my feeble joints. Wood or LVT will look and function better.

Definitely not marble or limestone--wood is a wonderful floor for a kitchen. I've had laminate, sheet vinyl, and tile, and by far my favorite has been wood. It's warm, easy on the legs/joints, and cleans up great with Bona wood floor cleaner.

I agree with all of what so many of you said.

So, I am doing with the red oak that coordinates with the other room. Too much stone when I gathered samples it was just ... too much.

However I am going with statuary marble counters n splash. I love them n

Now it's just my stain color. The flooring guy is using bona .

I lean more contemporary/ transitional in my esthetic.

Too many choices .
