You can always remove the skylight, and repair the roof etc. I dont know of any other way, except to put the closet somewhere else.

OKay so we have no way of knowing how to tackle an issue with no context maybe we can say it nicer but it is the truth. Is this a house you are buying or are you just renting or is it a condo . Wait until you are in then post pics here in comments DO NOT start another post You will also need to post a to scale floor plan with the skylight as a dotted lline on that plan Every measurement clearly marked and all the info I asked for Post the plan in jpeg format in a comment .
