I think if you do awindow in the door accessing the deck from that mudroom there would be no reason for a window.A bedroom with no bathroom is pretty useless not sure what you really gained by doing this but that is another thing. Iassume allt he black bars are windows so you now have awindow looking into a bedroom from the LR . I need a bit more info I guess but see no real point in adding awindow to the office but only you know how a window will affect the office layout and the fact that now th access to the deck is truogh the office .

For the bedroom, I see your point. But that's the best we can do to add more sleeping space within our budget. (one kid insists having her own room). Bathroom won't matter, given that my kid almost never use it when asleep.

No, I don't think you need a window there. If I understand the drawing, there is a window on the east wall isn't there? And the door to the deck could be full glass. I can see you are trying to make good use of all of your space. It's easy to understand why a child would want their own space when they get older.

Thanks, kandrewspa! Yes, there is a window on the east wall. And yes, we intend to make the door to the deck full glass. Since nothing is built out yet, (we just got the permit approved), it's easy to make changes now than later.

Could I ask what's your rationale for not adding a window just for my curiosity? I am leaning towards not adding a window too.

Hi,millworkman The exterior would just be vinyl sidings. I don't think it would affect on the exteriors.

The appearance, balance and what not. Not the siding type.
