We are finishing our attic and I am having trouble with chandelier/pendant size over the stairs. I will also have recessed lighting throughout. I’ve attached 2 pics- one I have rendered to have walls where they will be and the other is the untouched space. To the right will be a new bathroom and to the left will be storage closets. The stairwell is 41 inches wide and will remain open to the new sitting area. I thought a simple chandelier/light would be pretty to view from the sitting area and would be placed where the sample one is but now I am afraid once the walls are closed in that the light is no longer centered and maybe needs to be smaller in diameter? I originally fell in love with a 31in diameter light but realized that’s too big. I am thinking 20-26 inch diameter might work….if it was just a stairwell I would go smaller but I don’t want the light to look dinky from the sitting area. any thoughts? The railing will be built in wrap around bookshelves. Also in the pic are 3 lights- diameters range from 14 to 20 to 26 inches. I‘m not set on any of them but wanted you to get an idea of what I‘m looking at. Any input is appreciated!
