Pictured below, is our proposed kitchen, about 132" by 139". Re crown molding, please tell me your ideas and opinions. Our ceiling is 8' feet high. We will have 36" wall cabinets, shaker style in white. The wall cabinets are available in 30", 36" and 42", and we want no less than 19" of space between countertop and wall cabinets, so going with 36". (A 42" wall cabinet would meet the ceiling without any molding on top and I don't think that would look good.) Looking for a very simple molding for the top of the 36" wall cabinets, I saw a plain vertical molding like in the picture below, they called it 'flat crown molding', what do you think of that? Would it look better and more modern than the style that is pictured in the proposed kitchen photo? (Apologize for the oversize pictures!).
