Design Dilemma

Hi all, someone on an addition to our house and wanting help and absence on how to get to design inspiration on the left. A few notes we added doghouses to our house, extended windows downstairs and centered and also added portico so the front has a point to match the garage a little.

Looking for advice for wood accents ideas, and anything else to get a timeless and cozy end result ideally with james hardy clap board leaning towards white on white. Thank you

You questions aren't clear (especially that first sentence!). Is the image of the house (with the car in the driveway) the current design, or has it been changed? What are doghouses? Do you want to change the house to the front elevation drawing? Please provide a current image of the house, and one of your inspiration home, being clear about what you want to accomplish.

I agree with SJ, I'm not clear about what you're asking, either. But I will say I don't think you should put an arched top window over the window grouping over the garage. It says 1990's to me. People are looking to get rid of those now. It's also not consistent with the style of your inspiration pic. The three windows on the second story (left of the garage) don't look right over the five on the first story. Is is possible to add more windows on the second story? I also don't like the grouping of the windows over the garage. Try just two or three double-hung. The problem is that in the style you're interested in, windows usually aren't grouped. Or maybe it's the fact that those are the only group that's bothering me. Are you using an architect or just a CAD designer to do these renderings?

Apologies I couldn’t figure out how to edit my post after I hit ok LOL.

Here is my current house, we are updating to add master suite over the garage I am looking for input on overall design and layout. I am adding the plans done by the architect below also. I already asked for the windows downstairs to be longer and since we are extending the porch I think we should have a portico type over the door rather than a flat roof. I am looking for feedback on that as well as the overall plan we received. I like farmhouse, craftsmen and transitional style but curious what others would suggest or recommend. Thank you

A couple of things: consider adding windows to the original second story to mirror those on the first floor; eliminate the arch window on the new addition; space the windows on the garage addition so that they more resemble those on the original side of the home; and bulk up the columns just a bit.

Thank you. Yes that window is gone never wanted it. Do you suggest something else over garage.
Looking into adding two more windows on top to match more.
Beef up columns how so?
Any thoughts around just like detail or design elements to consider since going to be white on white basically so trying to see what other subtle touches could be added that would make it more warm and homey.
