Random Stars is finished

This is Bonnie Hunter's Random Stars. It finished at about 61"x74". The panto is Van Gogh by Anne Bright Designs. I love this quilt, so I'm going to hang on to it for a while. Do you make quilts that you just can't bear to part with? I have several that I keep just for me. Sometimes, years later, I "put them up for adoption," but some I will keep always. Thanks for looking.

Very nice, Lois! Yes, sometimes I keep one I started as a donation quilt, but more often I donate one I thought I would keep. 😁

I don’t blame you for wanting to keep this quilt. It is lovely! I think these are your colours!

I have a quilt on my bed that I want to keep. So I get it. First it went to a friend doing chemo. It was returned to me when she passed away. So between the quilt and the memory, it will stay here a good while..

Yes, I have been known to hang on to a quilt or two or a dozen ... Eventually, some of them find new homes!

It's called a Foster Fail when someone fosters a dog from a shelter and then decides to keep it. Your Quilt is the same.

- Hi Lois, I love your quilt and that pattern! I made a Random Stars in pinks and whites and gave it to my mother for Mother's Day many many years ago. When she passed away in 2011, my sister gave it back to me. She had it over her lap and down her legs every time she was in her recliner. It looks very used and I'm ok with that.

We're doing pretty well. Have lived with daughter and her loving hubby almost 2 years now. We have a few health issues but not life threatening. Grandson and family got flooded out of the house they were renting. They said the first thing they grabbed when evacuating were the quilts. They're living here out in the camper for now until they can find another place to live. The oldest daughter is in the Navy and the other two have graduated and have jobs. I don't do much sewing but try to keep up with a BOM group I'm in on FB and a Row By Row, too. I want to make pillowcases for the older great-grands for Christmas. If nothing else, it will help to use up some fabric I've had for awhile. lol
