secondary living space help

We have a secondary living area space when you walk up out stairs. What can I do with this space? I want to add storage. Maybe cabinets along this wall. But then I don’t know what to do above the cabinets the windows make it hard to add shelves. Removing or replacing the windows is not an option. Please ignore our junk. This area is a “catch all” right now since we have limited storage in this house.

great opportunity for storage... take the measurements to your home improvement center for an estimate on what cabinets and a countertop would cost, it's free. They can draw out some layout options for you.

I think if storage is what this space has been used for I would concentrate on providing storage that is both prctical and attractive so maybe armoires or buffet type cabinets dependong on what you need to store . I do however find with clients that often the stuff that gets shoved somehwere is often just stuff you do not need or even should keep. My advice purge fist then decide what needs storsge and begin with that.

what is it that you would want to store? I see some very large objects that might require a tall closet rather than cabinets.
