I value BBB rating the same as I value CR, useless and not accurate. Just my .02..

So you have used these doors what was it you did not like then so we have an actual understanding of why they are "builder grade "

I have not, but have not heard anything good about them. Nothing about their site seems overly impressive or shows great quality. I find by looking at the dealer list you get a pretty good idea of who they market too and for my area at least the list is not impressive. There is no way I would purchase a supposed high end quality millwork product from a box store and quite honestly 84 Lumber is a box store, not known for having the best products or the most knowledgeable sales people. So the reality of it is if you know EXACTLY what you want and can articulate this you have removed one of the many potential stumbling blocks.

Millwork and Patricia, 84 Lumber is listed on GlassCraft's where to buy list. But when I called, they said they do not carry them. The manufacturers you cite as higher quality, Millman, have few contemporary/modern styles, none that appeal to me.

Then it is up to you and in my opinion a crapshoot. You can take a chance on the product and vendor to get the modern look you want. Or settle for a different fiberglass pattern from a quality vendor or change material type and go with an exterior MDF door from TruStile or similar. That choice is up to you.

In looking more closely at Fibercraft's website, I see that they have three series -value, pro, and premium. The chevron style door I like is in the premium series. Millworkman, has your less than favorable experience with Fibercraft been with premium or only value and pro? TIA

I said more than once I did not use them. What I saw was they were a Texas company, regardless they are company not known as a quality producer of doors.
