need assistance with exterior color

last year

Wondering if SW 6673, Banana Cream, would be too bright for the outside of my house.

The front door is a spring green and I want the shutters be a deep burgundy.

I'd stick with white or a cooler shade (blue-ish white) with that brick. I like banana cream, but with your brick and burgundy shutters, I think it would clash. The existing white with burgundy shutters would look good.

^I agree with Sigrid regarding burgundy.

I do not think those colors work with your brick, for a anice look with red brick a soft sagety green is a perfect compliment and IMO no burgundy at all This a great color with brick and I love how they dod all the trim and garage door the same IMO the colors you want will be garish not pretty at all. Kind of like when you put on too much makeup

No burgundy shutters with your brick. Pick a color close to the red in the brick, if you really want reddish color shutters. Banana cream is way too yellow for your house, pick a shade of cream, at least two shades lighter if you want a cream exterior.

if that is the only brick on the home, I would consider painting it to unify the facade (I would also paint the gutters the same as the siding so they blend in)

IMO painting brick is alst resort since it will devalue your home so be careful about that choice . Your home as it is now the brick is the best part and use that to enhance it and your home

Try shutter colors by cutting a foamcore board to the shutter size (or if the foamcore is 4 feet by 4 feet, cut it in half), then painting with burgundy. Flip over for a different paint color test.

I see you have a green thumb with the plants in pots. You can use strong yellow as an accent with yellow flowers in the pots such as daylilies, daffodils, and daisies.

I like your current trim color and the shutters and foundation. Very nice Khaki green tone. I would keep that color and paint only the siding in a medium tan.

Paint the garage door your same Khaki green with White trim.

I would not waste time and money painting the siding if it is in good shape and would not paint the brick.

I would paint those cinder blocks on the side to match the siding. Extending the siding to the ground would be a better but more expensive option.

I think think the sage green suggestions are your best bet as they would be the complementary color to your brick. You could take that bronze or charcoal color from the brick pattern for trim, downspout, front door and shutters for a crisp neutral color scheme. it would a great background for bright flowers that could be burgundy and yellow.

With he greens you could take a darker shade on the front door and shutters then a lighter shade of the same hue on the garage door.
