Look for rug with the cabinet color (datker or paler) and sectional color. No fringe. No shag. No center medallion - will be hard to get it centered. Consider a solid or small pattern - most of a large pattern will be under the sectional so won’t be seen, especially if you add a coffee table. The other option is to see how you like a tiny rug that fits in the open area of the sectional.
