What area are you in. Does it have hvac. What's the subfloor. If concrete, you could run heat tape under slate.

Yes to hvac- it’s fully part of the house / like any other floor of our house .

For house as a whole - we are building a colonial / Georgian. Avoiding modern . Lots of dentil crown moulding and wainscoting . Kitchen is a bit more transitional but off white cabinets with antique brass hardware

A Georgian sunroom says terra cotta or quarry tile flooring, as it would be expected to stand up to soil and water spills from the plants located everywhere in it. QUARTETTO has multiple prints, and a really nice red color that is more authentically sunroom than most quarry tile, but the linked quarry is more of the dark red terra cotta that would be authentic, and is available in a matte finish.

I'm not a pro but am a mother and grandmother. We chose to do rectified porcelain tile in our home that's on an insulated slab foundation. We have radiant floor heat in all bathrooms and wish we'd done it everywhere. We have a large sunroom between the family room and pool deck that's currently used mainly as a playroom for our grandchildren. It's very easy to care for and has worked well for our needs. Two 8X10 area rugs with pads cover much of the play area while leaving the tile uncovered where we eat "picnics" with the kids, do art projects, dry off from the pool and race Hot Wheels.

Porcelain tile can mimic so many different types of flooring but is generally much more durable and easier to clean.
