I'd like to know too. I have a vague memory of my mother growing some big mums. Not sure where we lived at the time...either Ohio or Maryland. There are some stunning big ones. I never see them in stores and don't know why.

Thanks for your post. My grandmother grew some large ones when I was a child. I ordered 5 from Burpee and lost three to drought when I went on vacation. Bluestones has some beautiful older varieties, but not the "Mammoth" mums. I think they would have lived if I had put them all in the ground. I plan to re order this spring from both vendors. I've never seen them in stores; they only carry the small cushion mums.
