Another donation quilt finished

last year

While taking a break from piecing the Bella Bella top I made these string blocks (great for clearing the mind!). I quilted it Tuesday and yesterday, and just finished the binding. It’s 46 X 59. Of course, the instant it hit the floor Charlie was on it. The borders look black in the picture but are actually a dark blue-gray.

Donna, what a great scrappy! The dark borders were the perfect choice. Those string blocks are great for mindless sewing. Wonderful job.

The borders DO look blue-gray. I always wanted to make a string quilt. Once i tried a test block and it was a disaster so I am in extra awe of your creation. I hope your mind is cleared and you feel better now.

I do like making string quilts for the same reason as you Donna, and no matter what version you make, they always seem to be so colourful. And they become cat magnets. I have a couple of photos of cats on quilts.
