What is the budget?

The biggest bang for your dollars is new landscaping in the front yard. flower beds along front and sidewalk. Not all squared off one, put some rounded curves in them, and have them far enough out from the house, that the plants are not right up against the house. I would like to see one or two smaller sized flowering type trees in the front yard, so it doesnt look like someone just dropped the house on the ground, with no thought as to making it seem like it belongs there. Its a very nice house. I cant tell by your picture, if there is room for chairs on the front patio or not. If there are, then put some colorful chairs there, and some potted plants. And a table by the chairs, so you have a place to put food or drink.

When its time for a new roof, pick charcoal, instead of brown, and it will definitely improve the looks of your house even more, since the existing roof, doesnt go with the brick at all.

I think the roof is fine with the brick. I'd paint your shutters a warm green and the door a darker shade of the same. Then, I'd work on landscaping.

The #1 thing you need is landscaping.

The rest: Paint the shutters and columns a color that plays nice with your roof and brick and paint the front door a snazzy color.

Painting the shutters something like dark green would bump things up a bit, but the biggest issue is the lack of landscaping.

I like the exterior. It has simple lines and is unassuming. Now it's usually mish mashed overdone outsides with boring insides.

May be refresh shutters with light muted green?

Something as simple as ONE well-placed small ornamental tree would make a huge difference. This particular picture example (below) appears to have a red Japanese maple tree.

Since it looks like your driveway is at the left side, I’d plant a tree on the right side. Not too close to the house.

coming back to add: I forgot to say how attractive your home is. My last two homes are/have been ranches and I love them too! Classic and practical.

Great house-I adore ranches and have one myself. You mostly just need landscaping. I would add a couple of native trees and also some shrubs/perennials along the walkway would be lovely. Please don't try to make the house something it isn't by changing the style/structure. Yours has perfect proportions. I think when people do that, they end up with a muddle rather than a lovely house which you have now.
