Change the color on all the metal railings to black.

Maybe consider painting the stucco.

I would keep the stucco. Your house is nice looking as it is. Change the color, if its color you dont like. Put in your new black windows, and paint the railing black. Add some better plantings in the planters, and some colorful pots by the garage doors with flowers in them. Right now, it is a bit blah, and it needs some added interest.

Black and white I dont feel fits this house, When did the brick get painted? Id explore some more options with design first, Are you removing that brick? Have you thought about landscape? What is above the garage?

My money would be spent redoing the hardscaping. A wide walkway to the street....a porch...planting beds...

You already have the brick as an accent. There's no logical place for wood. You're not going to change this into anything that looks close to a modern farmhouse or a contemporary, so I'd give up on that. Go looking for insp pics among houses that look more like yours.

There is nothing above the garage. Just high ceilings in the garage then attic space. It’s unfortunate with the height that they didn’t do living space when the house was built in 1994.

Also the stone hasn’t been painted. It’s called Tyndall stone.

Ya, I agree especially now seeing that mock up. it looks forced black and white but I do like the pergola trim. Landscape would bring so much.

After Seeing the white and black I don’t think that’s the look we are going for. Maybe we just do black windows and new garage doors white of black?. Not sure if we should paint the stucco. I would like to get rid of the big forehead look of the garage. I’ll also have to look into landscaping.

On this house, windows with divided lights, such as Sigrid and Lisedv showed, look much more appropriate than what you have now. It's a more traditional looking house in general. I wonder if there is a way to add a window above the garage to reduce that look that you don't like. But I would be cautious about adding windows in a very contrasting color, like black or dark brown, unless the frames are rather thin. If they still make that color, I think Marvin casement windows in "Pebble Grey" would look great with this house.

Also, is there something wrong with the stucco, other than perhaps the color?

Better landscaping is the biggest need I see.

There isn’t really anything wrong with the stucco. I guess we just don’t know how to update the exterior with the existing colour. Maybe doing black windows would be too much contrast for this colour. Maybe we should be looking at tying everything together better.

Here's with leaving the stucco as is and replacing windows with black. I think the black garage doors look better than white ones with the black windows.

moving the garage lights to above the door would help with the void space
