Dining room ideas?

I am trying to decide between 2 dining room options to seat up to 6 people in a small-ish dining room. I have seen a newly refurnished pedestal round 54 inch table (white base and grey washed top) that I would need to get chairs for. OR a more traditional 63 inch round with edges that fold down to make a square, and it comes with 6 chairs with leather seats. I am looking for a way to add color and interest. The walls are grey and white, and my accent color is blue. Is there any way to easily cover the leather seats? Maybe mix and match chairs for the white/grey table? What style chair would look best with the grey/white table?

NO to a counter-height dining table, though that is the nicest one I've ever seen.

No one wants to sit for a long time eating off a barstool when their feet don't touch the ground.

The other table is..................terrible........ with the white base and gray washed top.

I found these chairs on ebay. Great price! You could spray paint them any color (blue, coral, red, black) and change the seat covers.

Hi there! I love the challenge of your project.
Having gray and white walls the accents can really make the dining room area special. Blue is a great color, but for accents I’d go for a brighter color - yellow/gold work well with blue, as well as sage green, or coral/copper.
Since you mentioned the room is kind of small, I’d like to suggest an extendable table option - especially if you don’t really need to seat 6 people at every meal. Round or rectangular (best with round corners) table can work for you.
Regarding the chairs, you might want to consider either standard seat-covers or custom upholstery.

It’s difficult to say without seeing other photos of your living area but I don’t think that either of those tables will give you the colour and interest that you want. Keep looking

Second table’s pros: comes with chairs (which can become quite costly for 6), larger, and you know how it feels. It’s con’s, the height and it is what it is (even with upholstered seats) - does it suit your home.

First table’s pro’s: it can take on many looks based on chair choices, as well as finishes: could paint all white, strip/restain a natural finish (top or all), or leave. The con is not knowing how much chairs will add up to and suit, and if buying used finding 6 chairs and be willing to update if needed. I prefer this table, but I like to mix/match and am ok with searching to find things. If unsure of both and not in a hurry, suggest waiting.

How big is your space . A 54" round table needs a space 126" square the bare min. You say you have a small space . I prefer a pedestal for round tables but not that one for sure , the refinish looks cheap . We need to see a space that is next to this to get some clue as to style. For sure not a pub type DR table .
